The third winter festival of orchids was opened in the Botanical Garden of Lomonosov Moscow State University and will continue until March 18, 2012. The main event of the festival is an exhibit of natural orchids in the Palm Greenhouse among venerable palm trees and lush tropical vegetation. Visitors of the exhibit will see the whole cascades of orchids, many of which grow on trunks of trees. Not only orchids take part in the colorful show, but also hundreds of other blooming, ornamental and leaf-bearing plants, such as bromelia, begonia, anthuriums of the most unbelievable shapes and colors - more than a thousand of blooming plants in total.
