Built in 1903, the mansion was designed by Russian art nouveau architect Lev Kekushev and belonged to the Old Believer Nosov merchant family. During the Soviet times the mansion housed several institutions, including a residence hall and a kindergarten.
In the early 1990s, the Russian State Library for Young Adults used the Russian Ministry of Culture funds to initiate the restoration of the mansion.
Today, the mansion is a historical and cultural centre for young people that welcomes all who are interested in the history of Russian entrepreneurship, art nouveau, and the Silver Age of Russian culture.
The mansion exhibits a collection of documents and artifacts connected with the Nosov family and the architect Lev Kekushev, and hosts specialized expositions from the History of Russian Entrepreneurship Centre.
