We are proud to present to you this new large scale project, Russia's largest collection of rare telephone devices and accessories: The Museum of Telephone History. The collection already consists of more than 1000 exhibits from the 19th and 20th centuries, all collected over the last 5 years from different parts of the world.
The main aim of the museum is to store priceless world heritage items relating to telephone communications, thereby passing invaluable knowledge to our young generation. So now we can see how communications evolved over the last few centuries, how they influenced society's development, how telephone devices were transformed from wooden objects like the domestic wall-mounted telephone into today's miniature telephone-computers. Today, we all got used to the comfort of using the modern telephone and we often forget that it is the result of long time labor and pains of many inventors. Among them there are such distinguished Russian and foreign scientists as: P.M. Golubitskiy, P.N. Yablochkov, A.S. Popov, A.G. Bell, N. Tesla, T. Edison, S. Morse, G. Marconi, A. Meucci and many others.
