Trees of Love on Luzhkov Bridge

The first tree of love appeared on the Luzhkov bridge in April 2007. Now there is a whole population of trees on the bridge and Bolotnaya embankment. The idea is that couples can symbolize their love by attaching a lock with their names to one of several iron trees. The locks express strength of their relationship. The bridge spans the Moscow River near the Kremlin and Red Square.
